Why Plant-Based Dishwasher Detergent is Better For You and Your Dishes

How to Tell If There’s Dishwasher Detergent Residue on Your Dishes

A cloudy film is a clear indicator there’s harmful dishwasher detergent residue on your glasses and plates. But even if you don’t see a film on your dishes, that doesn’t mean they’re toxic residue-free.

To find out, do the glass test. Grab a clear glass and fill it with water. If the liquid starts to turn into bubbles as you fill the glass, that’s toxic dishwasher detergent residue getting rehydrated back into your glass. Your healthy glass of water isn’t looking so healthy anymore.

Ingredients to Look For in Plant-Based Dishwasher Detergent

Unlike toxic dishwasher detergents, Truly Free Home’s chlorine-free dishwasher detergent doesn’t contain harmful chemicals such as phosphates and toxic fragrances. Instead, Truly Free Dishwasher Soap harnesses the power of nature, using enzymes that break down and dissolve food particles to get your plates, glasses, and utensils clean, without leaving behind residue.

What’s more, our dishwasher detergent’s plant-powered surfactants penetrate deep into tough stains, loosening and lifting away burnt food without pre-soaking or scrubbing.

Here are the plant-based ingredients in Truly Free Dishwasher Soap:

• Sodium percarbonate: A powerful, natural cleaning agent that releases oxygen bubbles to lift away dirt and grease
• Protease: A natural enzyme that helps break down and lift food stains
• Acrylic acid homopolymer: A compound that prevents streaks and oil redeposition.

Not only do these ingredients work together to provide superior cleaning power from a dishwasher detergent, they’re safe for your family and the environment. Now that you know what to look for when choosing a chlorine-free dishwashing detergent, making the switch is a no-brainer.
