How to Clean My Messy Car with Non-Toxic Truly Free Products: A Mom's Guide

Posted On: July 2nd, 2024

As a mom of two energetic kids, my car often feels like a mobile playroom and snack station. Between school runs, soccer practice, ABA therapy daily and weekend trips, it's no surprise that my car gets messy quickly. But I've discovered some incredible non-toxic cleaning hacks using Truly Free products that have been game-changers for getting and keeping the interior of my car clean. Here's how I manage to stay on top of the chaos with the help of these lifesavers.

What You'll Need:

Step 1: Declutter and Prep

First things first, get rid of all the clutter. Gather up toys, snack wrappers, and any other items that don't belong in the car. Sometimes it's even our coffee cups let's be real. This step alone can make a huge difference in how clean your car feels and looks.

Step 2: Vacuum

Once the big items are out, it's time to vacuum. I use a handheld vacuum to get into all the nooks and crannies where crumbs and dirt tend to hide. Make sure to remove the car seats (if you have any) and vacuum underneath them too.

Step 3: Wipe Down And Clean The Car Seats

For Leather: Next, I tackle the seats. My go-to product is the non-toxic Truly Free Wood & Furniture Polish. I spray it generously and then go in with a cleaning cloth and buff it all in. This leaves the seats so shiny and fresh.

For Cloth: Spray the Truly Free Odor & Stain Eliminator generously on any stains or spills and then scrub with a cleaning cloth. It works wonders on everything from juice spills to muddy footprints. The best part? There's no need to rinse, making the process quick and hassle-free.

Quick Tip: Always do a test spot in an inconspicuous area for color fastness.

Step 4: Wipe Down The Interior Car Hard Surfaces

For the dashboard, doors, and other hard surfaces, I use the Truly Free Wood & Furniture Polish. It's non-toxic, so I don't worry about harmful chemicals around my kids. A few sprays and a good wipe down with a cleaning cloth leaves everything with a super shine that I love.

Step 5: Clean The Interior Car Windows

Dirty fingerprints and nose smudges on windows are a common sight in my car. To get them crystal clear, spray the Truly Free Glass Cleaner and wipe with a cleaning cloth.

Step 6: Cleaning the Exterior of the Car

While my interior cleaning routine with Truly Free products is pretty solid, I'm still on the hunt for the perfect non-toxic solution for the exterior. In the meantime, I opt for an automatic car wash. It's a win-win because my kids adore the light show and 'rainbow' soap that these car washes often use.

No one has a perfect routine, but Truly Free products have made it much easier to keep my car manageable on the inside. These non-toxic cleaning solutions are not only effective but also safe for my family and incredibly easy to use. From tackling stubborn stains to eliminating odors, they always come to the rescue when it's time for a deep clean.

If you're busy like me, give these hacks a try. They’ll take the stress out of car cleaning and help you maintain a tidy vehicle, even amidst the chaos of family life! Happy Cleaning!
