How to Use Truly Free Laundry Wash | How Much Detergent to Use

New to using Truly Free Laundry Wash? Because it’s highly concentrated—and many laundry machines are designed to use less water these days—we’ve outlined everything you need to know for optimal results.

Load Your Laundry: Place your clothes in the washing machine.
Measure the Laundry Wash: Fill the Truly Free Laundry Wash jug’s cap with the recommended amount of detergent (below).
Add the Laundry Wash: Pour it into the detergent compartment or directly into the washer and start your preferred wash cycle. We don’t recommend using your washer’s automatic dispensing system—it uses more Laundry Wash than you need.

If you have…	Standard washing machine	High-efficiency (HE) washing machine
	Use ½ cap (2 oz.)	Use ¼ cap (1 oz.)
If you have…	An extra large or soiled load	An extra large or soiled load
	Add an extra¼ cap (1 oz.)	Add an extra ¼ cap (1 oz.)

Not sure if you have a high-efficiency washing machine?

Look for the "HE" symbol on the machine itself—it’s usually near the detergent compartment. Additionally, if your washer is a front-loader or a top-loader without a central agitator, it's likely an HE model.
