REMOVING Lipstick
1. Rinse from the Back - Turn the garment inside out and run cold water through the back of the stain. This helps flush out the waxy and oily base of lipstick before it penetrates deeper into the fabric fibers.
2. Wet and Apply Stain Stick - Dampen both the stain and the Stain Stick. Rub the stick thoroughly over the lipstick mark in multiple directions to ensure the area is fully saturated.
3. Let It Sit - Allow the formula to sit for 5 minutes. The enzymes will begin breaking down the oils, wax, and pigments typical in lipstick formulas.
4. Gently Agitate - Use your fingers to rub the fabric together or work the product into the stain with a soft-bristled brush to lift the residue.
5. Wash As Usual - Machine wash using Truly Free Home Laundry Wash on cold or warm water, according to the care label.
6. Air Dry - Let the item air dry to ensure no lipstick residue remains. Do not tumble dry until you're sure the stain is gone.
Tips:
- Lipstick often contains long-wear pigments—repeat the treatment if any color remains.
1. Blot the Stain - Carefully blot the lipstick using a paper towel or clean cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can press the pigment deeper into upholstery fibers.
2. Dampen the Area - Using a cloth dampened with cold water, blot the area to help start lifting the oils and dyes from the surface.
3. Spray the Affected Spot - Spray the Odor & Stain Eliminator generously over the stain. Make sure it reaches all layers of the upholstery if the stain has penetrated.
4. Let It Sit - Allow the product to rest for 15–20 minutes so the plant-based enzymes can break down the lipstick components.
5. Gently Blot and Scrub - Use a soft cloth or upholstery brush to gently scrub the area in small circles, lifting the lipstick from the fabric.
6. Rinse and Blot Again - Dampen a fresh cloth with water and blot to remove any remaining residue and product.
7. Air Dry - Let the area air dry completely before using the couch again.
Tips:
- Always test on a hidden spot first.
- Repeat the treatment if any color remains.
1. Rinse from the Back - Turn the fabric over and rinse with cold water from behind the stain to push oils and pigments outward instead of deeper into the fibers.
2. Wet and Apply Stain Stick - Moisten the Stain Stick and the fabric. Rub the stick back and forth over the stained area, making sure the lipstick is fully coated.
3. Let It Sit - Allow the treated area to sit for 5 minutes. This gives the enzymes time to penetrate and break down oils, wax, and red pigments in lipstick.
4. Agitate Gently - Use your fingers or a soft-bristled brush to gently work the product deeper into the fibers, loosening the stain.
5. Wash As Usual - Machine wash using Truly Free Home Laundry Wash on cold or warm water, according to the care label.
6. Air Dry - Do not machine dry until the stain is fully removed. Heat can set lipstick permanently.
Tips:
- Repeat the process if the stain was from a long-wear lipstick or has set into the fabric.
1. Rinse Thoroughly - Flush the fabric under cold water to remove as much lipstick residue as possible from the back of the fabric.
2. Spray the Stain - Saturate the stained area with the Stain Spray. Make sure the spray penetrates the full depth of the fabric.
3. Let It Sit - Leave the treatment for 20–30 minutes to allow the natural enzymes to dissolve makeup oils and pigment.
4. Agitate the Area - Gently scrub with your fingers or a brush to help lift the waxy residue from the fabric surface.
5. Wash or Rinse Normally - Launder the fabric with Truly Free Home Laundry Wash or rinse with clean water if not machine washable.
6. Air Dry - Let the fabric dry completely. Inspect for any lingering stain before drying with heat.
Tips:
- Repeat the process if the stain was from a long-wear lipstick or has set into the fabric.
1. Rinse Cold from the Back - Rinse under cold water, holding the sheet so water flows through the back of the stain to push pigments out.
2. Apply Stain Stick - Wet both the sheet and the Stain Stick. Rub thoroughly across the stain to saturate the area.
3. Let It Sit - Let the product rest for 5 minutes to allow the enzymes to target cosmetic waxes and oils.
4. Agitate - Gently rub the fabric or use a brush to loosen the residue.
5. Wash As Usual - Wash with Truly Free Home Laundry Wash in warm or cold water as per care tag.
6. Air Dry - Air dry and repeat if any color or shine remains.
Tips:
- Repeat the process if the stain was from a long-wear lipstick or has set into the fabric.
1. Rinse First - Hold the stained part of the sheet under cold running water to remove any excess lipstick.
2. Spray the Area - Spray the Stain Spray generously until the entire lipstick stain is damp.
3. Let It Sit - Wait 20–30 minutes. This gives the formula time to loosen and dissolve oils and dyes.
4. Agitate Lightly - Rub the area or use a soft-bristled brush to help dislodge the stain.
5. Wash As Usual - Wash in cold or warm water with Truly Free Home Laundry Wash.
6. Air Dry - Dry sheets in open air to confirm the stain is removed before using heat.
Tips:
- Repeat the process if the stain was from a long-wear lipstick or has set into the fabric.
1. Blot Excess Lipstick - Carefully blot away any remaining lipstick with a paper towel. Avoid pressing the pigment further into the carpet.
2. Dampen with Cold Water - Lightly blot the area with a cold, damp cloth to start loosening the waxy base.
3. Apply Odor & Stain Eliminator - Generously spray the Odor & Stain Eliminator over the entire stained area. Ensure the solution penetrates into the fibers.
4. Let It Sit - Let the product sit for 15–20 minutes so enzymes can break down the lipstick’s oil and dye content.
5. Scrub and Blot - Use a soft brush or cloth to scrub gently in a circular motion. Then blot to lift the residue.
6. Rinse and Blot Again - Blot with a clean, damp cloth to remove product and any lifted stain particles.
7. Air Dry - Allow to dry completely. Check for remaining color once dry and reapply if necessary.
Tips:
- Always test on a hidden spot first.
- Repeat the treatment if any color remains.
1. Blot Lipstick Carefully - Gently blot up any visible lipstick with a paper towel. Don’t rub—it can spread the stain further.
2. Dampen Area with Cold Water - Use a cloth to lightly dampen the area and help lift initial residue.
3. Spray the Stain - Spray the Odor & Stain Eliminator directly onto the stained upholstery. Make sure it soaks into the affected area.
4. Let It Sit - Leave for 15–20 minutes so enzymes can work through oils and dyes.
5. Scrub Gently - Use a soft brush or microfiber cloth to gently scrub the stain in circular motions.
6. Blot Clean - Use a damp cloth to remove cleaner and lifted stain.
7. Air Dry - Let the fabric dry naturally. Inspect once fully dry before use.
Tips:
- Always test on a hidden spot first.
- Repeat the treatment if any color remains.
