A little oil can go a long way—especially when it lands on your clothes. Luckily, removing grease spots from clothes is easier than you might think with the right Truly Free Home cleaning products and a few easy steps.
Step 1: Blot the cooking oil or olive oil stain with a clean cloth and run it under cold water to remove as much oil as possible.
Step 2: Apply a few drops of Truly Free Home Dish Soap directly to the stain and gently rub it in.
Step 3: Follow with Truly Free Home Laundry Stain Spray. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to break down the cooking oil or olive oil residue.
Step 4: Wash the garment in warm water (check your fabric care label) using Truly Free Home Laundry Wash and Truly Free Home Softening Rinse.
Step 5: Allow to air dry. Once completely dry, check if the cooking oil or olive oil stain is fully gone. Repeat the process if needed.
Tip: Don’t put stained clothing in the dryer until you’re sure the stain is gone—heat can set it permanently.
Butter stains can be tricky since they’re both greasy and rich, making them harder to lift from fabric. But with a little patience (and some baking soda magic), you can save your clothes from the butter stain aftermath.
Step 1: Scrape off any excess butter using a spoon or dull knife.
Step 2: Generously sprinkle baking soda over the butter stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the grease.
Step 3: Apply Truly Free Home Laundry Stain Spray and gently rub it into the fabric with your fingers.
Step 4: Let it sit for 5 minutes, then wash in warm water (depending on the fabric) using Truly Free Home Laundry Wash and Truly Free Home Softening Rinse.
Step 5: Allow to air dry. Once completely dry, check if the butter stain is fully gone. Repeat the process if needed.
