One of the best parts of summer is backyard barbecues. And as much as we love crispy, charred veggies and burgers kissed with smoky flavor, cleaning the grill can be a chore.

But here’s why you should clean your grill after every use.

Every time you fire up the grill, oils and grease, fats, and food bits coat the grates, drip pans, and other surfaces while you cook. All that gunk builds up, and the longer you leave it, the harder it is to get off. Not only that, caked-on grime can lead to rust, wear, and even damage.

The good news is Truly Free Home’s Heavy Duty Degreaser makes it easy to clean the grill without breaking a sweat—or toxic chemicals found in other cleaners.

The Problem With Chemical Grill Cleaners

Many commonly used oven and grill cleaners contain harmful chemicals that will get the job done, but at the cost of your family’s health.

Some of the top toxic ingredients used in grill cleaners to avoid include:

Ammonia, a chemical compound that can cause respiratory issues if inhaled, skin and eye irritation during direct contact, and serious health issues if ingested.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), a group of chemicals that evaporate at room temperature and can negatively impact air quality. Short-term exposure can result in eye, nose, and throat irritation as well as dizziness, nausea, and headaches.

Methylchloroisothiazolinone, a preservative that can trigger skin irritation and allergic reactions.

Quaternary ammonium compounds, chemical molecules that can irritate the eyes and skin and cause respiratory issues.

And don’t think these chemicals go away just because you rinsed your grill grate. They can stick around. So the next time you have friends and family over for a cookout, the flames from the grill vaporize leftover toxins into the air—and into your food.

How Our Heavy Duty Degreaser Is Different

We take your family’s health (and a home-grilled meal) seriously. That’s why Truly Free Home’s Heavy Duty Degreaser is made without toxic chemicals or harsh additives.

Instead, our powerful, plant-based degreaser formula includes family-safe minerals and compounds that cut through grease and acids on grill grates, cooktops, and oven racks with ease.

So you don’t have to wear rubber gloves to keep your skin from getting irritated or burned when you clean the grill. Or wonder why your burger tastes a little “off” the next time you have a garden grill party. You won’t have to spend forever trying to get burnt-on bits off, either.

When you have our Heavy Duty Degreaser on hand, all you have to worry about is searing in those grill lines.

Truly Free Home Tips:

For cleaning gas grills, use the Heavy Duty Degreaser to also clean the heat deflectors every fourth use, as oil and food drips on them during cooking.

Avoid using a stainless steel brush – the metal can shed and end up in your food.
