Think Dirty® is a trusted third-party app—a clean ingredient app if you will—that empowers consumers to make educated decisions about the brands they support by enabling them to vet the ingredients in beauty and personal care products.

Here’s how it works. To get Think Dirty’s green checkmark of approval, its chemistry team and advisory board, all of whom have extensive experience in relevant fields such as medicine, biochemistry, biology, physiology, environmental toxicology, environmental health and safety, and chemical engineering, assess the overall risk of products based on the potential health impacts of its ingredients.
Then, products are given a rating on the Think Dirty Product Rating Scale, aka Dirty Meter™, with a green score of 0-3 indicating that it doesn’t contain any ingredients that have a documented potential negative health impact.
